Displaying the Chinese symbol for HEALTH, this cowl was designed a little tighter, so to sit on the face just tight enough to stay up and over the mid-face area where placed, helping keep away the chill.
When choosing your yarn make sure to choose a fiber that feels comfortable to you as you will be wearing this cowl tighter against your face – you’ll want to be able to breathe through it easily. Some yarn fibers have better wicking properties than others, are more breathable than others, and even certain wools are known to have certain properties which may fight some molds, germs, and funguses. And, of course, you want colors that are going to look good!!! So, pick your yarn type, weight, and color, then, grab your favorite beverage, a copy of your pattern, and enjoy the written instructions or the chart.
This cowl is knit flat and easily seemed together up the back, using the mattress stitch.

Materials
Yarn: Worsted weight yarn totaling approximately 240 yards, consisting of 2 skeins—1 skein of Main Color (MC) and 1 skein of Contrast Color (CC). Red Heart Chic Sheep or a similar worsted weight yarn is recommended. When selecting your yarn, choose a fiber that feels comfortable against your skin, as this cowl will be worn close to the face.
