A set of dpns or an 80cm for magic loop when your number of stitches is to small for a 40cm.
3 markers. It's beneficial if your BOR (beginning of round) marker differs from the two side markers.
Sport weight yarn:
100g main colour
50g contrast colour
Gauge 24 sts/10cm on 3mm needles.
Sizes: Junior 45cm, small 52,5cm, large 60 cm. If you fall below, above or between these sizes, you can adjust by going up 0.5mm on your needles for a bigger circumference or down 0.5mm for a smaller circumference. Just one stitch more or less on 10cm makes about 3cm difference. You can also choose to adjust by using slightly thicker or thinner yarn. Also keep in mind that a hat stretches a bit, so use a size slightly small rather than large, or your hat will be floppy on your head and not sit very well.
