Clendenin is a reversible cowl which uses a provisional cast-on and three-needle bind off. Any provisional cast-on method may be used; however, the crochet cast-on allows for easy removal of the cast-on stitches, while keeping the live stitches secure until they’re needed. The directions are written using this recommended method.
Aran weight yarn, or heavy worsted weight yarn, is suggested in two colors, roughly 130 yards in each color. You will also need a small amount of scrap yarn for the provisional cast on and as a stitch holder.
You will also need an additional circular needle in the same size or smaller.
