These stranded mittens are covered in flowers. I was inspired by stunning floral dress I saw in a Poirot episode.
The type of flowers can be changed just by changing the colors: daisies, Black-Eyed Susans, poppies....pick your own favourite! There is a matching hat too.
Sample knit with Brooklyn Tweed Loft (100% Targhee-Columbia, 275yds/251m, 50g skein) in
C1: Old World (165yds/151m)
C2: Fossil (110yds/101m)
C3: Hayloft (10yds/9m)
The mittens are worked in 2 colours and then a small amount of a third colour is used to duplicate stitch the middles. Instead of a third colour for the middle of the flower, you can add beads as you knit by slipping them on a crochet hook: 110 size 6/0 beads needed.
