Friendship Cake Socks

Do you remember an old-fashioned friendship cake recipe, where you have a starter that you feed, and then divide it into several parts, keeping one part to grow more starter and make a cake, and giving away other portions until you run out of friends who want it :)? I took this idea to sock knitting. Any sock knitting friend will be happy to get a slice of a Friendship Cake Sock! It's gluten-free, fat- free, dairy and egg-free, calorie-free, but full of friendly vibes and love.
