Kitty Cushion

This cute Kitty Cushion is sure to bring a smile to your face every time you catch him snoozing on your chair. The front is worked from a chart in two colours using the double knitting technique with a picked up garter stitch side border. (It would also be suitable for the intarsia technique if a single thickness fabric is preferred but please note that the yarn requirements in the pattern are given for a double knitted version).

The back is knitted using a simple but very effective slip stitch two colour pattern for the lower section. It is finished off with a cosy rib for the upper section. 

The pattern uses Rowan Kid Classic for the dark colour (if substituting yarns please note that this yarn is 140m/153yds per 50g ball and goes a long way so do check equivalent meterage). The light colour is worked in Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran.
