Something every knitter should have - a lavender-filled pin cushion for their needles!
It took a long time before I finally conceded that as a knitter I actually need somewhere to keep my tapestry needles safe.
So, tired of search for them under sofa cushions and on the floor, I’ve come up with this simple design that everyone should be able to follow. It’s a great project for beginners wishing to tackle their first cable stitch!
And why lavender?
Well, is there anyone other than a knitter who could accumulate vast quantities of yarn without protecting it from pesky moths? Lavender is a great moth deterrent so having a pouch of it around means that your active stash is safe from harm!
You need very few materials to get started: 2 US size 2 (2.75m) knitting needles, US size 2 cable needle, 15-20g of yarn, 50g dried lavender, 1 tapestry needle
Skills used: Casting on and off, Single cable
Stitches used: Stocking stitch
