What Is Being Made

The project creates individual circular makeup remover pads constructed entirely through knitting. Each pad begins as a flat cast-on that is joined in the round and progressively decreased to form a compact, disc-like shape. The finished pads are small enough to hold comfortably in the hand while being substantial enough to effectively remove makeup and cleanse the face.

Craft and Techniques

This project uses knitting as the primary craft method. The construction technique involves working in the round using double-pointed needles, which allows the pad to be shaped without seaming. The pattern employs a systematic decrease method to transform a flat circular piece into a finished pad, demonstrating how strategic stitch reductions create shaping and structure in knitted items.

Stitches Used

• Cast on: The foundation technique used to create the initial 30 stitches on the needles
