The hat is worked in the round, bottom-up, in half brioche stitch. The hat is reversible. Half brioche stitch has two distinct sides - one looks chunky and another has a more structured rib.
The pattern is written to fit the following head circumferences:
Preemie: 11” / 28 cm
0-3 mo: 13 ¾“ / 35 cm
3-6 mo: 17 ¼” / 42 - 44 cm
6-12 mo: 18 ½” / 47 cm
Toddler/Child: 19 - 21” / 48 -53 cm
Adult (Small): 23” / 54-55 cm
Adult (Large): 24” - 26” / 58-60 cm.
Difficulty level: Advanced Beginner / Intermediate.
Knowledge and comfort with the following techniques are recommended: slipping stitches with yarn over, knitting in the round, brioche (2- stitch) decreases.
