Snakes and Ladders Blanket

The Snakes & Ladders Blanket was inspired by a knitted cushion that my mum made for my sister and me when we were little, and I had so much fun creating a crochet blanket version of this family favourite! The square blanket is worked row by row, creating a two-coloured checkerboard using tapestry crochet, carrying the non-working yarn inside the worked stitches so that the blanket is fully reversible. The blanket is completed with a linen stitch border, crochet i-cord snakes, and embroidered ladders. The tutorial section includes instructions for changing colours, carrying non-working yarn, as well as how to make a crochet i-cord for the snakes themselves.
