Make this clever tree skirt to surround the base of your twig tree with the colours of spring.
Many of us love decorating twig trees throughout the year, and this skirt allows you to further complement your ornaments with a burst of seasonal colour.
I chose colours and motifs to suggest the blackthorn and cherry blossom, daffodils and primroses that delight us in the spring, and it looks perfect with a few crocheted eggs in matching colours hanging from the tree.
The 45cm (18inch) circular design has a split which allows you to place it around the 'trunk' of your tree and also makes it possible to arrange the skirt smoothly whether it is in a flat circle or in more of a cone shape.
The pattern also includes a matching 20cm (8inch) mandala which is perfect under a vase or plate to complete the look.
Available in both UK and US terminology - just choose whichever you prefer to use.
