Featuring an eye-catching sunflower motif, this granny square crochet pattern uses a combination of textured stitches to create a realistic flower design which can be used for a variety of accessories; coasters, bags, blankets and more. You will need to be familiar with single, double and treble crochet stitches, and working into the front post. Written in English using US terminology, the pattern features comprehensive photo tutorials for other stitches used which may be less familiar.
You will need: -approximately 27m/30 yds of aran weight yarn. I used a total of 18g Yarn & Colors Epic (100 % cotton, 75m/82yds per 50g), with four colours. -a 5mm hook
This pattern would also work well in a different yarn weight (such as DK or light worsted yarn) or fibre. This will alter your square's finished size.
