This pattern comes from my love of the sea and all things beach hut! I have some amazing childhood memories of walking along the beach both in the United Kingdom and in Europe. Vast expanses of sand that seemed to go on forever and the cool water splashing on my feet.
Every time I see beach huts, I am taken back to these memories. The designs of these beach huts vary so much from place to place. Bright colours, plain colours, stripes…
I have intentionally left the colour scheme of this design neutral. The plain white and black reminds me of the white beach huts with blue doors and roofs that I saw in Normandy, France.
