Zig et Zag are two patterns of socks. They are similar and different. Both are worked toes up, with a gusset and a heel flap. Both have faux cables on the top of the foot and on the ankle. Zig have a pair on faux cables on the external edge of each foot, while Zag have a faux cable on each side of the feet. Both are included in this pattern, so you can choose which one you prefer, or do both!
The faux cables of these two patterns are made without an cable needle: they are created by decreases and increases. The motifs are explained by diagram.
This pattern is available in 5 foot width and 11 shoe sizes. They fit adult feet, and are unisex.
To work this pattern, you will need 250/300 (350/375/400) meters / 275/330 (375/410/440) yards of fingering sock yarn.
