Product Details
Esker (noun): A serpentine ridge of gravelly and sandy drift, believed to have been formed by streams under or in glacial ice.
The Esker cowl / scarf is worked from side to side, with a subtle ridge along the length.
It is suitable for men as well as women, and is given in 9 different sizes.
The pattern gives a table for stitch counts and measurements per size. You then fill in the numbers and measurements that refer to your chosen size throughout the pattern.
Sizes:
There are 9 different sizes available - 3 different lengths, and 3 different widths. Apart from that, there is a choice for the cowl between buttoning it up, or grafting the ends together for a fixed cowl.
Please see sizing table and yarn requirements in the last pattern photo.
For the buttoned option, 3-4-6 buttons are needed for the narrow (LC1, MC1, SC1) - medium (LC2, MC2, SC2) - wide (LC3, MC3, SC3) width version.
