The Inertia Shawl is knit from the bottom up using a simple short row garter stitch technique that creates waves of color. It can be knit in two to twenty-four colors, making it a wonderful pattern for stash busting. This pattern includes a worksheet to calculate yardages for all types of yarn and a coloring sheet to fiddle with colors. If you are new to short rows, don’t worry.
