I’ve added to my collection a lovely new Designafriend 18” doll. This is my first crochet pattern which includes a top, shorts, hat and dress in 4ply yarn, using basic crochet stitches so suitable for beginners.
As all 18” dolls are slightly different I’ve given suggestions for adjusting to fit other models. The pattern items actual measurements are:
Top: chest 10”/25cm, length from shoulder to waist 4.5”/12cm
Shorts: hips 10”/25cm, length from waist to hem 4.5”.12cm
Dress: chest 10”/25cm, length from shoulder to hem (adjustable) 8.5”/21cm
Hat: length from crown to brim 4.5”/12cm, Circumference 13”/32cm
You will need:
Top: 20g 4ply yarn in main, and approx. 5g of contrast A and B, (I used Sirdar snuggly 4ply) 2 small buttons Shorts: 20g 4ply, Hat: 25g 4ply, 5g of contrast A and B, Dress: 20g 4ply main, 15g contrast A and small amount of contrast B, 1 small button All: crochet hook no 3.50
