Aline Modular Cardigan

This is a modular cardigan and involves picking up from the last piece knitted and often knitting in different directions, sometimes using modular squares or part squares.

Worked from mid back up to shoulders, then upper fronts, working down to the hem, pick up back pieces working down to the hem, pick up side pieces to add short row shaping and create the Aline lower body.

The piece is finished with icord edgings to keep it neat but also to give it structure and hardwearing edges to each piece.

It is an intermediate knit but only uses simple knits, purls and a double decreases for the mitred squares.

Sized from 32-62 inch bust with instructions on how to make your piece longer, adjust sleeve widths and depths to fit YOUR body.

Knit, pick up sts, increase, decrease, icord edging, cast on, cast off/bind off, modular knitting. A basic understanding of modular knitting will be helpful.
