This is a one-skein crescent shawl with a difference.
There are no stockinette or garter stitch sections – instead, graceful lace flows uninterruptedly outwards towards the very tips, and downwards towards the beaded diamond border.
Perfect for that single skein of luxury yarn, it was designed with lace addicts and frugal-minded knitters in mind. I happen to belong to both groups (the kind who want every bit of lace out of their yarn!)
The purple shawl was made with Sweet Georgia Bulletproof Sock yarn 437 yds/400m/100g, shade Lupine, one skein. Size is adjustable to the amount of yarn you have on hand - instructions are given in the PDF. The dark pink version was made with just 370 yards!
The lace motif in the body is inspired by the aloe and the border with its sparkling beads is made of diamond motifs.
The shawl is suitable for both advanced beginners and experienced knitters. With elegant lace and simple shaping, this is an enjoyable knit.
