This hat is perfect for the bee lovers in your life. I designed this hat to fit adults, but if you would like to make it smaller, you could easily leave out a bee repeat and start decreasing earlier.
I designed this hat to alternate black and yellow as the contrast color, so there is only colorwork using 2 different colors at a time. You will still want to make sure to wrap the non-worked color under the working color behind the work every 2-3 stitches during the longer carries to make sure there is sufficient stretch in the piece.

Beginners level project
I won't be trying this project. See comments above. The positive aspect of this review is the ease of using your site. My wife's primary criticisms are the way the hat gathers to the crown, and the fact that the instructions require the yarn used to create the bee to carry over to the next bee instead of being snipped and buried which means that there would be no stretch in the cap. She doubts that anyone actually tried wearing the hat after it was made. Sorry, but you asked.
