And the beads that are worked into the border symbolize the sparkle in his eyes. When choosing the colors, you can take the colors of your own eyes or your favorite person. This shawl is worked from the long edge to the outside. There are added 396 beads in the border (there is a detailed picture-by-picture-tutorial in the pattern). Of course you can also leave out the beads.
