A classic beret in 7 sizes to fit everyone from newborn to large adult. This hat is knit in the round from the top down and can be made with or without the i-cord on top. The yarn is knit on needles smaller than the recommended size to produce a slightly denser fabric which holds its shape better.
Techniques you should be familiar with before using this pattern:
Knitting in the round using double-pointed needles.
Knitting an i-cord (optional).
Lifted increases.
Centred double decreases (sometimes called s2kp2 or k3tog).
Sewn bind off, or another stretchy bind off.
