A light and cosy cover up that due to its modular construction, drapes beautifully over the shoulders. A versatile item of clothing, it's classic lines and textural interest make it as perfect for throwing over a posh frock during the walk from the car to the party, as snuggling up in PJs on the sofa in front of the TV. The shawl is made in modules, starting with a large centre back square, and with each new piece created by picking up and knitting from the previous module. The modules are primarily worked in garter stitch with some stocking stitch rows, bobbles and a simple yarn over lace pattern. The pattern is written for a worsted weight yarn but could be made using a DK yarn to create a shrug.
