Clustershell Trellis Blanket

A friend of mine recently had a daughter, they are decorating her room in woodland colors. I wanted to make a blanket that fit that theme, but I also wanted to make a baby blanket that was universal, useable by both boys or girls.

This is a simple blanket that I created, originally crocheted with self striping yarn, but it would look good in solid colors, and veriegated yarns too!

This is a very quick pattern to work up. Can be crocheted in a single weekend, or a week, for slower crocheters. This pattern also introduces my Cluster Shell stitch, a very simple stitch utilizing the dctog to create a shell. This pattern is perfect for the beginning crocheter.

This blanket is great for hand made gift ideas, too! Baby Showers, Newborn Gifts, Even up to a year old. This baby blanket is big enough for toddlers to continue to use. And for those more advanced crocheters, the pattern repeat is included, so increase or decrease the size as needed.

A must have pattern for all skill levels!
