Détails du produit
East Farleigh Bridge is a medieval stone bridge across the River Medway in Kent in the south of England. It is also a crescent-shaped lace shawl worked in fingering weight yarn. The crescent shape reflects the stone spans of the bridge, and the lace pattern represents the arches and triangular stonework of the ancient bridge.
Pattern gauge is 11 sts and 18 rows to 2"/5cm over stocking stitch using 4mm (US 6) needles. The shawl measures approx. 11"/28cm deep in the centre and can be made in two lengths, the short version is 55"/140cm and the long version is 65"/165cm long after blocking.
The shawl is worked bottom-up with a lace section worked first, then transitioning through a short mesh insertion to garter stitch short-rows which form the crescent shape.
The lace section is given as both charts and fully-written instructions.
