Keep warm at a winter's day match with a classic football scarf with stripes of two alternating colours and tassels on each end. An ideal beginner knit, the pattern uses basic knitting techniques such as knit and purl stitches, casting on and casting off and making tassels. It is designed for a fine 2-ply yarn, but could be easily adapted for a thicker yarn by casting on fewer stitches, and working fewer rows for each stripe. The stitch used is moss stitch.
