Several years ago I had a passion for patchwork and quilting and realised that some of the blocks would work well on a fairisle hat, and so Quilters Delight was born!
If you are a quilter, you might recognise the flying geese, pin wheels, the eight different stars as the main motif and a dresden plate for the crown.
It is designed in true quilting style to be a stash buster and will use mostly just small scraps of yarn - between 0.25g and 3g. I used one colour for the background (25g) but it would look just as effective with a scrappy background too.
A colour wheel will help you decide which colour to put where - you need plenty of contrast but at the same time, you don't want your colours to clash.
It will fit an average adult head with an approx circumference of 22" and a brim to crown length of 8.5".
Most of the pattern bands are small and with the quickly changing colours your hat will be made in no time!
