The sweater has seamless construction, worked from top to bottom. It is started with casting on stitches for the back, short rows are worked to elevate the shoulders. Then the left and right front shoulders are shaped separately with short rows. Next, the shoulder cap stitches are picked up and shaped further with increases. The front neckline is shaped at the same time. The piece is then joined to work in the round, and sleeves and body are shaped with further increases. After the full circumference is reached, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold and the body is joined in round, casting on additional underarm stitches. The body is worked in the round until the hem. Sleeves are picked up and worked in the round until the cuffs. Finally, the neckband is picked up and worked in 2x2 rib for double height, then folded in and sewn.
