'Rigge' is an old English word meaning 'Ridge' and I feel like it perfectly describes this scarf!
Ridge after ridge in varying sizes created with only knit and purl stitches make up this bulky, yet scrumptiously squishable piece. Wear it as a wrap or stole in the fall to ward off the chill, and wrap it around your neck as a cozy scarf to block out the cold of winter.
Larger needles (US 13) and bulky yarn make this project a pretty quick knit, even though it's big! (about 18” wide with the ribbing relaxed and about 78” long)
Sample shown knit in Loops and Threads Charisma yarn. When making a yarn substitution, choose something that is chunky/bulky but super soft. Make sure you choose needles that will keep the stitches a little on the loose side so even though you have a BIG knit scarf, it still has softness and movement.
You can use either straight needles, or circular needles for knitting flat.
