On VE Day, street parties with teapots full of tea were the order of the day and its quite fitting then to have a tea cosy to mark the day that looks like Winston Churchill.
Peace in Europe is a wonderful thing and it should be celebrated, and that was what inspired me to design this tea cosy.
Winston Churchill was a large, old man and always wore a jacket and waistcoat. He was often photographed with a cigar and his homburg hat.
So the tea cosy include all these things that we associate with Winston Churchill, the suit, the dickie bow, the homburg, the cigar and I have tried to accentuate this bulk and given him a larger head.
It's a sweet and nostalgic tea cosy and the blue bow tie and the bunting bring a bit of colour to the composition.
