General Product Safety Regulation 2024 (GPSR)

A new EU regulation is coming into force as of 13th December, 2024 - the General Product Safety Regulation 2024 - which will apply to any products (digital patterns included) sold into the EU. We are reviewing this in detail to ensure that LoveCrafts is compliant with this new legislation and would take this opportunity to remind you of the following relevant clauses of the Designers Terms:

7.2 You are responsible for ensuring that your information is not false, inaccurate, misleading or fraudulent. It must not infringe anyone's copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights. It must not violate any law, or be defamatory, libellous, obscene, threatening, harassing or what would be regarded as inappropriate by an average user of the Website.

7.3 You must deliver all electronic files free and clear of viruses, worms or other potentially harmful or disrupting code.

Please also ensure that any patterns you upload (or have uploaded) for toys or items or clothing for children and babies comply with applicable laws or guidance (wherever sold) on safety of the end product - with a particular view to choking, strangulation or overheating risks. If in doubt please reach out to our team.  Following our review, we may make a few clarificatory changes to the Designer Terms to ensure that, collectively, we are fully compliant, and will inform you of those in due course.
