Cute little 4-ply jumper for a young baby.
I wasn't sure how large the neck opening would be, and made the button opening a bit longer than the pattern suggested, by dividing the stitches earlier.
Hi Sue, The pattern uses 8ply yarn, just wondering if you knitted it in 4ply as I would love to use 4 ply for the small baby sizes. How was the sizing knitted in 4ply? Cheers Di (from Australia)
Hi Di
Yes, I used 4ply, but found it quite easy to adjust the pattern. I followed the instructions for one of the larger sizes to get the number of stitches, but kept the length the same as the size I was knitting for. The jumper is quite baggy, with no real shaping, so I don't think it matters too much if you mix and match a bit.
I don't know if that makes sense?
Hope it works ok for you, Sue
