    About

I created this sweater as a "thank you" gift for a co-worker's three year old daughter. He has been very helpful and a great "go to" person for help and answers in the office and home projects!

The sweater was inspired by the buttons. I fell in love with the enameled and rhinestone buttons at M&J Trimming in New York City and purchased them. The sweater was designed from there.

Each butterfly was made on a #2 needle with Wiltex Threads, Inc. (vineyardsilk.com) silk needlepoint/embroidery thread.

The pattern for the butterfly is the "Common Blue" from Lesley Stanfield's "75 Birds, Butterflies & Little Beasts to Knit and Crochet"
