I love these tops as I prefer not have too much bulk on my arms. With these plain patterns it also allows you to add to it. I have added a simple seed stitch to the front.
Can you help please. I don’t understand the pattern for the simple tank top armholes. Garter stitch at each end. Does that mean I purl 2 at each end on a knit row, and knit 2 on a purl row? Or purl all stitches on a purl row?

@Anonymous Alpaca: Yes, that’s confusing isn’t it? In this case you will definitely purl the end stitches on the R/S (knit) row and purl the entire row on the WS (purl) rows. (You could knit the end stitches and it would look similar on the RS but strictly speaking that is called reverse stocking stitch rather than garter stitch.) Good luck. Hope that has helped.
