Fair isle cardy for me

    About

This is the second cardy I’ve knitted to this pattern. The first turned out to be a bit small, so I gave it to my slimmer sister. I’ve just finished the next size up for me. It was really satisfying to knit and I’m very pleased with it. I’m new to fair isle knitting and had a couple of queries on the pattern which Marie Wallin very helpfully answered for me.

    Pattern

    Measurements

    Notes: XL - I found the L too small (I’m a 14/16)
I lengthened the body a bit (as if you’re curvy you need extra length as well as extra width, which wasn’t reflected in the XL sizing).
The sleeves are designed to be 3/4 length but I think next time I’d make them 7/8 length.

Wow, it’s beautiful, it’s something that amazes me but I’ve never had the nerve to tackle, so hats off to you for taking the challenge to make a jumper! It looks soo beautiful and beautifully knitted. 😀

Thanks. I experimented first with a simpler baby pattern to get happy with the technique. I am enjoying “making pictures” as I knit.

Thanks, I’m pretty much knitting the colours in the pattern as I thought they looked very natural

Once you get into the swing of it, it’ll be one addictive.
You’ll be wanting to see how the pattern unfurls x
      Please post the finished cardi💕
