My two youngest grandsons are too old for knitted toys but fortunately the older two are in their later teens so I now have girlfriends to knit for. This is for Ollie to give to his first girlfriend.
Thank you, Vix 💕 Love Pat's patterns. Thank you for the compliment, photo taken 5 years ago - was still in my 60s then. You don't look old enough to be retired! There are ladies in this community who are great grandmas and look fabulous! Must be the knitting! 🧶
@Sue C: I took the photo on a good day thought I had better capture the moment! I was 74 yesterday WTF! I think knitting/crochet is a form of mindfulness before it was a thing! I am going to try and convert one of Pats patterns into Baby Boss after Xmas. Molly, who I made Jim for, her Nan asked me if I could make it so will give it a go!
@Vix: Wow Vix, keep doing whatever it is you're doing! You look fabulous! Happy birthday 🎂 for yesterday 💕 Let's keep knitting and grow old disgracefully! 🤣💕
Another beautiful bear Sue! 😍 I'm just finishing off two Fig Bears for my grandsons. Having procrastinated last year to elves instead, the eldest thinks he's getting too big for cuddly toys now, so last chance Xmas for nana! 😅
It's lovely to read that there may well be other chances for knitted toys a few years further down the line. Ollie's girlfriend will just love her bear! 🎄🧸
Thank you so much, Mary 💕 I love this pattern ❤️ Will look forward to seeing your bears 🐻. Your grandsons will love them and I bet this won't be the last year for Nana's cuddly toys!
Ohh he's absolutely perfect Sue I love his fur and look at that gorgeous wee jumper.😊😊Now you have tempted me to make another one, they are soooo cute.😊😊I'm sure Ollie's girlfriend will love her special present.💕💕
Lovely Sue. Gorgeous colour for his sweater and that Lion Brand faux fur looks great. 🥰Hope Ollie and his girlfriend don’t have a row and split up? 😟 My 17 year old grandson’s girlfriends haven’t been very long term yet. Plenty of time for that though. 😂 💕
Thank you, Helen 💕 They've been together since the summer, so I'm hoping they last the next few weeks! I'm planning something for her birthday in February, probably a bit optimistic. Tom, Ollie's brother, has given up on girls for now. Says he can't understand them 🤣. Seems the psychology A level he's taking in the summer hasn't helped. Our son and his wife met at 15 and 14 nearly 30 years ago. They've been married for 20, but that is very unusual. 💕
@Sue C: A bit like our Thomas it sounds. Lovely to hear about your son and his wife. My girls both waited until their 30s to ‘find Mr Right’, so we hope they are settled now. 💕
@Helen B: Our daughter was in her 30s too. As you say, just depends when the right one comes along. As long as they're happy, that's all that matters. Love watching the grandsons growing up, so lucky to have them ❤️ How lovely you have a Thomas too, Helen 💕
He’s lovely ,Sue. I’ve done what I said I’d never do again- I have multiple projects on the needles at one time. Two of them are bears so I hope everything will be finished by Christmas! 💕
