    Wanted to give a nod to seaside as this is where baby's mum originates. Did a variation with the jumper and managed to get sailing boat buttons.. However couldn't quite master a pom pom for the hat.

      Love this sweater. I want to make one for my grandson. How did you manage to incorporate the two colours on the wave and boat pattern. It looks amazing

        Thanks Mary all I did was follow the chart using the contrast colour for the purl on right side row or knit on wrong side row. Hope that helps

        @Kathleen L: thank you very much you have confirmed this method for me. I have started this in a dark colour and wanted to brighten it. Thought of doing the boat in contrast colour but wasn’t sure it would look right.
