    About

Bit more advanced with crochet at this point and wanted to try out different stitches/textures, so kept it simple with only 2 colours. Decided to back it with a fleece blanket rather than weave in 100's of ends!

    Needles & Hooks

    • Crochet Hook 4.50mm (US 7)

    Accessories

Other : used a fleece throw to back it with as the back didn't look very neat after changing colour lots
cut to slightly larger than size of crochet blanket, then attached at the corners of each square, folded edges under and used simple hand running stitch aroun

    Measurements

Notes: I used Hayfield bonus Aran with wool 400g x1 of each colour but ran out when it came to the border!
Didn't want to get another 400g ball, so used bonus chunky, and the different types don't show
total 42 squares, 1 or 2 of each design in each colour + border
blocked squares as the different patterns meant they weren't all the same size
Attached to fleece throw (navy) at each corner, then with running stitch around the outside
