    About

Just using up Kingfisher WYS yarn left over from gd socks. Wanted to see what 'fair isle' yarn did knitted up with plain in helical method. Not as successful as plain with a self striping but ok for for the OC.

@Michelle M: weather very kind, rain didn't start until 5pm when we were home. Luke and his girls loving their short break in a caravan overlooking the sea. A big success but oh my goodness am worn to a frazzle and didn't burn the food so all good!

@Vix: ohh that is good, it sounds like you had a lovely time with the girls Vix. We were just saying that about my great nieces and nephews we will have to start off with small visits and increase the time slowly as we are not used to be around children either.lol.😊They would love being in a caravan by the sea, what a perfect break for them.On did you see Penny's perfectly matched stripy socks I thought of you straight away.😉😉

So you will have to pack your bathers when you come and visit me as this house has a pool, we weren't looking for one but it comes with it and as it's so hot up there we hope to enjoy it.🏊‍♂️ Oh I have to tell you Liz I went to my knitting group and we have TWO new Scottie ladies so that makes THREE in our group.Oh my golly where were you when I needed a translator lol.😂😂Hope you and George are well and out and bout enjoying your freedom.❤

@Michelle M: So good to hear you've also got your new home settled. Bet you can't wait to get moved in and relax and enjoy it all - especially the pool. Will you have a "knitting room" for all your stash - that would be my dream? Guess you'll have to find a new knitting group and if there are any Scottish ladies I'd be very happy to translate for you.😂 George and I are both well, haven't ventured far yet but we aim to get out and about soon - once we have our 2nd vaccines, hopefully not long to wait now. Wishing you all the best of luck with your move. Take care. xxx💕💕💕

@Liz M: thank you Liz, it's great to be able to finally organise things now we have dates etc.I have a big linen cupboard which I think would be good for the wool or the wardroom in the bedroom has shelves so maybe that.It will be sad to leave the knitting ladies as they are soo much fun and we have alot of laughs.Three of the ladies are organising a road trip where they are going to drop some of the things we have made off to the flood victims then keep going and come and visit me which will be lovely.😊I can understand you not wanting to venture too far until you are fully vaccinated it's just not worth it.How is your mosaic blanket coming along it is going to be stunning with the colours and design you are doing.😊😊❤

@Michelle M: That's great that your knitting friends are going to come and visit. I'm sure it won't be long before you make lots of lovely new friends too though. My blanket border is coming along slowly. Over 1000 stitches per round at start of border and 25 rows later there will be just over 1200 as it grows, so I'm taking it slowly. Will be worth it though. xx💕💕

@Liz M: it is lovely they are going to come and visit, I will miss them as they are such fun ladies and the lives some of them have lead and stories they tell.😊 Oh on Thursday I am going to my friends house for the afternoon and we are finally going to have a crochet lesson. No I won't be showing you what I make as I have a feeling I will be hopeless but it will be fun to try and learn.😊😊Wow your blanket is going to be huge, but definitely worth it. You must be having so much fun seeing it all coming together, even with 1200 stitches.😉😊❤

My blanket isn't really huge - it's just that it is in 4 ply so small stitches. It will probably be just over a metre square. I'm enjoying doing it very much though.💕💕
