    About

    I love re-visiting old designs, partly to check that the pattern is as easy to follow as possible, but also to see how the design stands the test of time.

    This was a commission from a friend, she already has the original version of this cardigan, I gifted her the sample i made to develop the pattern a fair few years ago. She loves it, says, it is her go to during the winter when she wants to feel a little comfort from the cold. She is amazed how well the cardigan has worn over the years too. In as much as it hasn't worn out at all! That is all down to the yarn, Felted Tweed Aran, it is one of the most robust, yet soft yarns I have ever worked with. It never seems to wear out!

    I love the styling of this cardigan too, it is just so ageless and is just as wearable now as it was when I first designed it.

    The beauty of making something to order is you can create details on request, this time around we made the cuffs the same colour as the stripes to add some interest.

    Notes: I added kidsilk haze in Ruby to lift the red tones of the yarn.
