During a clear out I came across this old vintage pattern that I made for Maisie’s mum when she was 8. She loved the jumper and wore it as often as she could. Of course, Wendy Monaco is long gone, and I did have trouble finding a substitute. I failed in this actually, as the wool I chose was ok in length tension but too narrow in width, so the jumper ended up long and skinny. Which was fine, as that’s just what Maisie is like! She tried it on and couldn’t get her head through so I undid the lot (!!!) and redid the neck. She immediately claimed it was itchy !
Gorgeous gorgeous wool to knit with, and the colours were stunning. It was a joy to knit, let’s hope she will wear it!
