How to crochet cotton bunting by Kate Eastwood
Published on 5 August 2020 By Merion 2 min readWhether you’re hanging out the bunting as decorations for a party or wedding, or simply celebrating the arrival of warm, sunny days, with Kate Eastwood's simple pattern you can create your own unique design!
Made in Paintbox Yarns Recycled Cotton these little bunting flags are perfect for hanging outside and with the choice of colours available you can go as bright or as neutral as you like! You can choose whether or not to add the spots and the simple ties in between each flag to add another different twist.
For my string of bunting I made 9 flags, each with a bobble added to the tip, and 10 ties. The total length of the string of bunting is 220cm and each flag measures approx. 14cm x 14cm. I used a 6mm thick jute garden string to hang my bunting on. I used Paintbox Yarns Recycled Cotton - one ball of each Tea Dance, Peachy and Meadow Green, working with a 3.5mm crochet hook. You will need approximately 50cm of 6mm thick garden string.
