To fit a 10 cm/4-inch tall doll

This project is not suitable for a first project in miniature knitting

Materials required: one pair of UK size 19 (1.00 mm) knitting needles, 50 metres 1-ply yarn in main colour, 50 metres 1-ply yarn in contrast colour, 3 stitch holders or safety pins, 4 small buttons or beads.

Notes on materials:

1. Use cotton or acrylic yarn, as these will drape much better than wool for this design.
2. If you wish to work the design in one colour then 100 metres of yarn will be required. Ignore all references to changing yarn colours or using C, and work all pieces in a single colour.

Finished size:

Neck to hem - 2½-inches/6.5 cm; waist circumference - 2-inches/5cm; sleeve length - ¾-inch/2 cm; hem circumference - 12-inches/30 cm.

Tension/Gauge – this is not important as dolls vary greatly in size, check sizing given above and use as a guide.
