Product Details

Make this shawl as long as you wish.

Worked in simple double crochet stitches (US dc).

Starts with a foundation chain that is easily adjusted to your specific requirements.

I worked 6 sections of 8 rows each (48 rows). But you can stop at 4 (32 rows), or even 3 sections (24 rows). Or make it in a solid color, and work as many rows as desired.

Each row requires approx. 35 yards of yarn.

The optional fringe requires approx. 100 yards.

I used Red Heart Comfort Yarn (the same as Red Heart Super Saver).

Dimensions: 50 inches(127 cm) wide X 28 inches (71.12 cm) long

This pattern works bottom up (or top down, makes no difference as it is a rectangle)

The pockets are 8 to 10 inches deep (exact depth is not important).

Therefore to obtain a customized fit, work a foundation chain, place it on your body as a shawl would fit,

and add 14 to 20 inches for the pockets.

The pockets are formed by folding up the ends of the shawl, so this is very easy to calculate.
