Product Details
This is a pattern for a delicate lace shawl made using fingering weight yarn.. This is the perfect shawl for an air conditioned restaurant, or chilly fall or spring evening. The focal lace stitch is an unusual one and a “true” lace stitch, and is easily learned, once worked. It adds a bit of dimension to the shawl. It is finished with a one of the Shetland Edgings and is attached in the usual Shetland manner, but there have been (optional) beads added if you enjoy “dressing up” your shawls a bit.
Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of cable knitting).
The stitches are both charted and written out line by line.
Any heavy fingering weight yarn or sport weight yarn will work for this pattern.
If you want to bead the edging (which is optional), I recommend Japanese size #6 seed beads.
The edging is attached in the usual Shetland manner.
