About the pattern
In September 2023 out of the blue our village allotments were put up for sale. Allotments have been here since 1851. Long story short, there has been a massive fundraising campaign to buy the land for the community. I knitted this hat for auction, and was asked for the pattern, so here it is. All proceeds will go to the allotment fund until it is no longer needed.
This is a colourwork hat knitted in scraps of KDD Milarrochy Tweed in 17 shades but could also be worked in Jamiesons Spindrift or J&S jumper weight, or Knit Picks palette. Written and charted instructions are provided and the pattern has been test knitted. You do not need to use as many as 17 shades, and advice is given about choosing colours in other yarns.

- Notes
- You may want to choose a softer yarn for the lining, to reduce the risk of tickle. I used leftover baby alpaca silk from my stash.
