Easy, fast and textured Christmas stocking “Alpine” pattern. This crochet stocking pattern is simple yet textured, modern and despite of looking intricate it is really easy to make. I love how one stitch can look different when it is crocheted with different type of yarn or different weight of yarn. I have tried the FPcl- front post dc cluster stitch for a hat with hand dyed yarn before and I was not impressed, but while searching for the right stitch to use for my “Alpine” crochet stocking in one of my crochet stitches books- I can say that I love how this stitch worked out with worsted weight yarn.

Materials: Worsted weight yarn in 2 colors

For the sample I used Bernat premium in green color and cream color.

You need 70gr of your main color and 50gr of the color you will make the toes, heel and the brim.
