Product Details
During a class on charting lace with designer Joan Kass, I was inspired by one of her stitch patterns and this pattern was the "jumping off point" for rows 11 to 18 of this pattern.
This wrap is worked along the length and the size can easily be adjusted by altering either the stitch count (length) or number of row repeats (width). This pattern contains both written and charted instructions.
This pattern looks equally lovely worked in lace weight yarn (approximately 700 - 800 yards) and results in a stole of similar size.
Notes: This pattern includes lace work in row 6, a wrong side row. The stitch key on page two includes special instructions for working this row.
Use of stitch markers (every 16 stitches) will be helpful during first set of row repeats, to help “read” your knitting.
Yarn: 638 yards/583 meters of worsted weight, linen blend yarn with a gauge of 5 sts/inch; in two colours.
Skills Required: • Stretchy cast-on and cast-off • Lace stitches • Blocking
