Product Details
On November 6, 2016 my baby, Israel Blaine, was delivered, stillborn. At the hospital the nurses wrapped his little body in a donated blanket and hat. It was so meaningful to me, not ever imagining I would ever need knits so small, to have something lovingly made just for him to wrap him in.
In the weeks that followed, I knit blankets to donate to the hospital for other stillborn babies, in his memory. This blanket, covered in angel wings, I designed just for him. With many size offered, you too can knit and donate a Stillborn Blanket, or any other size you’d like. The pattern is offered for free, but please consider either knitting a blanket for your local hospital, or donating to a Pregnancy and Infant Loss Grief Program near you.
Feel free to check out Israel’s birth story on my blog.
Please note: The pattern is only for the blanket pictured, not the hat. The hat was knit as part of the donation, but not included in the pattern.
