Product Details

This floaty stole can be transformed by the way you wear it. With the longer edge at the bottom it appears to be a traditional crescent shawl. But wear it the other way up and the deep edging becomes the collar for a bolero-shaped wrap, which can be pinned in place. There are little loops at the upper border front edge for buttonholes, too. The sizes are given to wear around the shoulders and fastened at the front, but you could make it larger and swathe yourself in lace!

The Lower Border is worked first, then stitches for the Main section, divided into shaped segments are picked up from the straight edge. Finally, the upper border is knitted on at right angles to the Main section and grafted to the top of the left front band.

Probably not a design for lace novices as the row count does vary from row to row and so always check with the chart. Eventually it is easy to spot mistakes as the pattern develops but this is a design for the moderately confident knitter.
